Radio Interview on The Mr. OG Show
In late January of 2024, I was interviewed on the Mr. O.G. show where I talked about how I began in film; from working with Michael Jackson to how Taco Bell saved my life. I have heard that my story is inspirational. I don't know about that, but it was a lot of fun to talk with such wonderful people, Mr. O.G. and Julie.
If you are working in the film business or are striving to achieve something, listen to my story and hopefully you'll be encouraged. |
New Project
Dark Twin
A Sci-Fi/Drama Short Film

Dark Twin is about AI, that's asking the question,
"Can we teach AI to be good?"
Synopsis: Our story follows an academic-minded A.I. trainer and the cutting-edge gaming system she’s built. Her A.I. gets acquired by a large corporation, and as she attempts to nurture her young, self-conscious A.I. and teach it ethics, she comes at odds with the company’s leadership.
Meanwhile, a Dark Twin is secretly being developed by the military ops branch of the corporation, creating a collision course for the future of the deep mind. Director's Statement:
I am very excited to shoot this film and bring it to an audience. The writer, Patrick Alexander, and I have worked hard to get the story right; to understand ethics in the world of Artificial Intelligence and to explore the nuance of a female scientist of Mexican heritage, born in the United States and separated from her Mother, who was deported back to Mexico. These are issues I am eager to explore and present to the public. Short films have the ability to get to the point quickly and leave an indelible mark. That is my goal for this film. We are in development and fundraising at the moment. |
New Film Professor at Concordia University - Irvine
I spent Spring semester teaching film history, film production and documentary production at Concordia University - Irvine. I completely enjoyed the experience and sharing my passion for art, cinema and storytelling to the students at this academic institution.
I have been asked back for the Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 semester. This has been a great way to continue my work as a filmmaker and writing my screenplays. |

Directing A One Act Play
Marisol's Christmas - Azusa Pacific UniversityRecently had the pleasure of directing the play Marisol's Christmas as part of a One Act Festival. Written by José Cruz González, it tells the story of a Mexican family, emigrating to the United States on Christmas Eve. With laughter and a few tears this play moved audiences to challenge preconceived ideas on immigration and the enduring spirit of family.
The cast was fantastic to work with. Azusa is developing some outstanding actors. Remember these names, you will be seeing them in the future especially on some of my projects. Starring: Alyssa Rojas, Devon DeLeon, Faith Orta. |
